350 class hydroplane In the constantine race, Ike ran a good race but so far the results are undetermined. The results we do know is that he placed high. In the nationals during the 2nd heat Ike fliped the boat but he was able to get back in the race and finished 6th in the 3rd heat. After further inspection he found a 4" dis-bond at the bond line of transon and was due to a lack of panel pins. Later he installed new panel pins and was able to get back in the game. The dis-bond was not in any composit panel but at a bond line at the edge of a panel. As for the rest of his races in nationals he finished 4th in the 500cc and 5th in the 700cc and 1100cc. When asking Ike how the boat preforms he said "It handles well and extremly stable". We also asked if he had any delamination problems, his responce was "not at all. Although with the boat weighing 20 pounds less than my previous boat it still feels over built. I would like my next composite boat to be even lighter". The boat is constructed with ABSECON/CYBORG MILLS INNEGRA S fabric, some carbon fiber fabric, PLASCORE-Polycore and CASS POLYMERS/ADTECH ProBuild Resin.
